I wish to know how popular is Metformin a diabetic drug in UK ? It is a
well prescribed drug in US . It is also popular in India .
Glucophage is the brand name for generic Metformin .

I must be very lucky as I seem to have no reactions to it, I'm on
500mg twice daily.

Well, from what i hear it is extremely unlucky to be affected by lactic acid
with metformin, but it happens. Generally metformin is one of the safest
and most beneficial drugs in the anti diabetes armoury. I'm on 4x500mg and
i don't even get the stomach problems as long as i remember to keep taking
it.
